PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds have passed the kingdom crown to Fortnite for a long time, but the game is still on the rise.
In 2016, the Korean firm Bluehole recruited Brendan Greene (PlayerUnknown) to develop PUBG. The reason for this was Greene's battle royale, previously developed for Arma 2. In January 2018, the PUBG had a record-breaking record of 3.2 million users. It was a year after that and the game dominated almost all the headlines was Fortnite.[post_ads]
Still, the PUBG is still extremely popular. PUBG Corp. told The Verge in December 2018 that PUBG Mobile had more than 200 million users. We're just saying that for information, Fortnite was almost the same player in all platforms at that time.
Despite the fate of the Fortnite in the media, PUBG silently continued on its way and even exceeded the number of Fortnite players. In June 2018, PUBG Corp. stated that the game had more than 400 million users and 227 million of them entered the monthly game.

After the PUBG Lite, the PUBG is expected to return to the pitch more effectively, as the game requires fewer system requirements and is free. Think of PUBG Lite as the unification of original PUBG mechanics and mobile graphics.
Despite these figures, the number of players on the PUBG's PC platform is slowly declining, but it's still in the 3rd place behind Dota 2 and CS: GO in the most popular list every day. In other words, the PUBG may have lost the media but never lost its loyal players.
