Loup Ventures tested these three assistants with 800 questions in five different categories and compared the performance of the assistants.
In a yearly comparison of Google Now, Siri and Alexa on smartphones, Gene Munster of Loup Ventures discovered that Siri managed to beat Alexa by answering questions 83% correctly, but lagged behind Google Now.
Compared to last year, Siri is also seen to be improving. In the 2018 test, Siri had a 79% correct response rate, up to 83% within a year. Tests in 2018 proved That Alexa had 61% correct response and Google Now was 86%, which confirmed that Google performed better than Siri's current performance last year.
Munster performs digital assistant testing via smartphones; Siri has installed iPhone with iOS 12.4; Google Now is available on Pixel XL; He tested Alexa through the iOS app. Munster's test consisted of 800 questions in 5 categories, and all of the question sets were questions that comprehensively tested the capabilities and availability of digital assistants. The categories and the sample questions asked in these categories are as follows:
