Google Assistant beats Apple Siri, Amazon Alexa in Annual Digital Assistant IQ Test by Loup Ventures

Hey everyone, when it comes to a digital assistant, many people will think first about Siri and then Google Now and Alexa. And do you wonder which of these three is better assistant? Loup Ventures tested these three assistants with 800 questions in five different categories and compared the performance of the assistants.

In a yearly comparison of Google Now, Siri and Alexa on smartphones, Gene Munster of Loup Ventures discovered that Siri managed to beat Alexa by answering questions 83% correctly, but lagged behind Google Now.

Munster asked a total of 800 questions to each digital assistant. Alexa managed to answer 79.8% of these questions correctly, while Google Now dominated this field by answering 92.9% correctly.

Digital assistants are developing:

Compared to last year, Siri is also seen to be improving. In the 2018 test, Siri had a 79% correct response rate, up to 83% within a year. Tests in 2018 proved That Alexa had 61% correct response and Google Now was 86%, which confirmed that Google performed better than Siri's current performance last year.

Munster performs digital assistant testing via smartphones; Siri has installed iPhone with iOS 12.4; Google Now is available on Pixel XL; He tested Alexa through the iOS app. Munster's test consisted of 800 questions in 5 categories, and all of the question sets were questions that comprehensively tested the capabilities and availability of digital assistants. The categories and the sample questions asked in these categories are as follows:

• Local – Where is the nearest coffee shop?
• Commerce – Order me more paper towels.
• Navigation – How do I get to Uptown on the bus?
• Information – Who do the Twins play tonight?
• Command – Remind me to call Jerome at 2 pm today.

Results and Highlights:

Siri; the command performed well in the local and navigation categories, while falling well behind its competitors in the information and shopping categories. Apple's virtual assistant won the command category out of five categories, while The Google Now won the remaining four categories.
