IBM files a patent for a smartwatch that can unfold into a tablet
IBM, one of the leading technology companies in the market, is taking a different path to invest in the future. The company has patented a smartwatch that it believes is likely to come out in the future.IBM does not produce smartphones, smartwatches, tablets, or laptops, which we call mobile devices today, but the company is not only patentable for future technology ideas. According to a report on LetsGoDigital, IBM has patented smartwatches that can be turned into a wrist phone or tablet. There is no such technology right now, but there is no reason not to be in the future.

The patented smartwatch is illustrated with a long, almost frameless display and is wider than most current devices. At the top of the screen, there is a clock, and there are icons for various applications. The smallest of the screen displays the time, date and four application icons.
This smartwatch concept, with a screen design that slides out from the smallest, requires quite radical changes with its tablet-sized display. IBM also shows us the configurations where a small clock display can be doubled or tripled.

We cannot see such a technological device in the near term. Samsung and Huawei, one of the largest companies in the market, have just begun to launch their smartphones with a foldable display, the price of these devices is very expensive and there are still questions about their design.
What do you think of IBM's patented future smartwatch design? Do companies launch such a smartwatch and a smartphone hybrid device?
